Process:
The Web Solution Development Process of Galvin Creative Technologies

The Galvin Creative Technologies process for developing exceptional web solutions is designed to promote success for our clients through proven software engineering methods. We convey our process using a a visual map of the steps we'll take to implement a project. The map is a guide for our staff and our client base to ensure proper communication and expectations throughout the web project.

The Galvin process is comprised of the following steps/phases:

Project Kickoff

Clients are included in this important step where we work in a relaxed environment to get to know one another, define expectations and goals in each project.

Discovery

The discovery process helps us learn your business and web requirements and the technology that will be essential in order to meet your needs. Expectations between Galvin Tech and each client are set while determining clearly marked and easily reachable goals.

  • Site Map – This visual map will demonstrate how the site will be connected as well as how users will navigate your site with ease.
  • Requirements Workbook – Each client will receive a workbook designed to their specific requirements and is a more in-depth approach from the site map. The workbook shows you the exact functional and technical requirement the solution will have and serves as the baseline for solution design, construction and testing.
  • Business Process Flows – One site could possibly contain many business process flows, which is another tool used as a map to explain how those technologies will work together for the good of your web site and the end user.
  • Work Breakdown Structure – This baseline chart shows which employee at Galvin Creative Technologies is working on what part of the site. It will also include timelines for each employee and the deadlines they must meet to ensure our goals are met.

Construction

The construction phase consists of two other phases, a design phase and a development phase. The design phase is a critical component for each web site, it determines the audience and the functionality that will accomplish goals set out in the discovery phase. Pages are created and placed in a sitemap document, wireframes are laid out to show the architecture of the page, mood boards are given to create the concept and then the final high definition comp. While each step progresses the client is kept well informed. The development phase implements the sitemap, wireframe and high definition comp to create the site.

  • Design Composites – provide the graphical presentation of the web site appropriate to the intended audience.
  • WireFrames – Delineate the base function and positioning of functional components on the web pages in accordance with the agreed-upon web site design
  • Use Cases – Describe the specific functionality and business rules of each web site component. These documents inform our clients about the user experience, features, and functionality provided to adhere to established requirements and business rules of the solution.
  • Development - A design is incomplete without the behind the scenes development. This process allows us to ensure the web site works effectively.

Testing

We will never launch a site without internal as well as client testing. We will test on both Mac and Windows platforms as well as all modern browsers to provide a quality and functional web site.

Implementation

After the rigorous testing phase the project is put to the live server showing the accomplished goals, functionality and feel that were discussed in previous phases

Support

We never consider a project complete after launch. The Galvin Creative Technologies staff remains on the proverbial scene to assist with any development or design changes or updates and statistical work that would need to be done on a consistent basis.
